Recommendations

Low-intensity VHF-UHF and Decimetre wave Therapy is indicated for the following diseases:

  • cerebrovascular insult (CVI)/brain attack (in a process of rehabilitation, as a component of complex therapy);
  • subacute and chronic inflammatory diseases: bronchitis, pneumonia, cholecystitis, salpingitis, prostate, etc.;
  • acute, subacute and chronic inflammation of the paranasal sinuses, middle ear, tonsils and the oral cavity;
  •  diseases of cardiovascular system: primary and secondary hypertension, rheumatism, occlusive peripheral vascular disease, etc.;
  • injuries and diseases of joints and spine of different genesis: arthritis, arthrosis, parasynovitis, epicondylitis, bursitis, back pain, sprains, bruises, myositis, tenosynovitis, etc.;
  • diseases of nervous system: plexitis, radicular pain, vibration disease, Parkinson's disease, etc.;
  • inflammatory diseases of skin: boils, mastitis, post-operative infiltration, bruises etc.;
  • stomach and duodenal ulcers;
  • bronchial asthma;
  • nonhealing wounds and immunity deficiency.

 

At coincidence indications for low intensity microwave and decimetre wave therapy and centimetre wave therapy, it’s recommended to use the first one in case the effect should achieve deep-laying tissues and organs or for treatment of diseases with allergic component (rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, allergies, etc.), as well as for treatment of patients suffering from concomitant cardiovascular diseases.

 

Contraindications

Contraindications for the Low-intensity VHF-UHF and Decimetre wave Therapy are the following:

  • acute purulent inflammatory processes;
  • pregnancy;
  • swelling of the tissues and the presence of foreign bodies in the affected area;
  • unstable angina;
  • paroxysmal cardiac arrhythmia;
  • epilepsy;
  • peptic ulcer disease with the complicated course;
  • bleeding.
